Ethical public health practice must be set within the parameters of the law at any given time and within established procedures for changing the law over time. An ethical professional should strive to work within the law to serve the needs, rights, and well-being of individuals and society at large.

The course, Introduction to Health Service Management provides a basic knowledge about first-line health management, addressing all aspects of the sector and synthesizing the four elements of planning, organizing, staffing and control to provide students with a broad understanding of health services management.

Patient Care is one of the core subjects in medical imaging. It provides the knowledge about basic patient care and the role of radiographer in the medical imaging department. Strudwick, R. M. et al (2023) referred and defined patient care as the person-centered care in Radiography: skills for providing effective patient care explores the complex interpersonal skills that are required of practitioners and medical imaging professionals which ensure high-quality service is given to person-centered care in radiography. 

  1.  Describe the anatomy and physiology of respiratory and cardiovascular system.
  2.   Explain the aetiology, pathology, clinical features, doctor and physiotherapy management of the respiratory and cardiovascular disorders.
  3.   Display the physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills in cardiorespiratory conditions.

This course prepares the students to understand the forces, kinetic, kinematic,
biomechanical in normal movement. They further understand and integrate the
biomechanical forces and its impact on bone, joints, muscles and ligaments in the daily activities.

CLO 1 – Identify by palpate the bony landmarks and ligaments attached in the human body.

2 – Describe the muscles and in the human body.

3 – Describe the various structures palpated.

This course introduces to students the concept of using thermal and electrical modality in pain management. Understand the biophysical effects of therapeutic thermal agents, low frequency current, light modalities and mechanical agents effectively and safely.

This course introduces to the student healing and repair, clinical features, complication of bone and soft tissue injuries in orthopaedic conditions. Students will understand the principles of doctor management and physiotherapy role in rehabilitation during and post immobilization stage.
